C Minor Jazz Blues Simplest Changes: soloing 3 | Print |  E-mail

In this series of lessons we will learn to improvise / solo over the changes of the C minor blues. We will use the C minor pentatonic scale as a "starting point" or first layer and add more notes/ layers as the lessons evolve.

In this Third lesson We will introduce a 4th layer. In the previous lesson we added the Ab note  to the  Fmin7 chord.

There is however another chord where this note should fit. Well it's no rocket science, the note Ab  will of course sound good on the .....Ab7 chord.

So we will "change" the or "add" a note to the Ab7 Layer. See below for the "grid" of this layer. USE these 2 (the blue note and the Ab note) notes on the Ab7 chord!
