C Minor Jazz Blues Simplest Changes: soloing 2 | Print |  E-mail
In this series of guitar lessons we will learn to improvise / solo over the changes of the C minor blues. We will use the C minor pentatonic scale as a "starting point" or first layer and add more notes/ layers as the lessons evolve.

In this Second lesson We will introduce a 3rd layer. This 3rd layer introduces the Ab NOTE on the Fminor7  chord. Only add this note to that Fmin7 Chord

This note is an importand note on the Fmin7 chord, namely the minor 3rd. Remember to only apply the Ab at that particular spot, the Fmin7 chord.

I would suggest you hit the Ab RIGHT ON THE FIRST BEAT OF Fmin7. Once Fmin7 passed, omit it from your fingering!  We will keep the 1st 2 layers of course...
