I have also finished a tutorial on using free sounds to upgrade the playback quality of band in a box. You might also be interested in the review.
Most (not to say all) lessons offer backing tracks in mp3 format. Some have examples (also mp3) and most of them feature downloadable powertab files. If you don't have the FREE powertab editor yet, you can (and should) download it now here.
On the other hand more and more scores are presented in the Sibelius Scorch format. Sibelius is one of the leading score softwares and the free Scorch plugin allows to view, play back, print and save Sibelius files in and from your browser. please download and install the Scorch plugin here. There is also a review section on hardware like the line6 ux2 and podxt.
For maximum use of the guitar playing lessons on this site (and other sites as well) you are advised to install the FREE Powertab editor. Download and install from here. This is an exellent and popular freeware tab editor. There is a massive amount of powertab files available for free. A good place to start is powertabs.net.
Another "tool" that is used extensively is the Sibelius Scorch plugin. This allows you to watch, save and print Sibelius scores from within your browser.

Maiden Voyage mp3 backing track. For my pupils at the music schools, as promised a backing track for Maiden Voyage. This backing track does not follow the rhythm normally played by the bass and piano and is suited to exercise your soloing.
New Blues Backing tracks. I added 2 new Blues (2 different tempi) in A shuffling backing tracks. These where a quick and dirty work in Band In A Box. You can download them for the moment directly from here:
These tracks are suited to exercise your solo playing and comping and feature Drums, bass and a bit of background organ. Again, this is a quick and dirty work in BIAB but should make your exercising of the blues lessons at pego.be more fun. Enjoy...
Knockin' On Heaven's Door:
Remixed (better balance and added organ) the backing tracks and added 1 backing at a slower (50 bpm) tempo. The "older" backing tracks are still there too:
